Our People: Keystone Q&A
Mark Brown is our Quality/Safety Manager and one of Keystone’s most senior team members. Mark has been with Keystone since he was a fresh-faced high school graduate and recently celebrated 46 years with us! We recently sat down with Mark to learn more about who he is and what he does at Keystone.
Mark, what do you do here at Keystone?
I’m responsible for ongoing product conformity and operational safety. I conduct daily quality and safety briefings as well as monthly safety meetings for the entire Keystone team. Since I have been in this role, our goal has been zero nonconformities and zero injuries.
What’s your background?
I started at Keystone when I was 18 at entry level. I’ve always been very detail oriented, so they initially had me sorting parts. Eventually, I moved from production into quality. I went back to school and earned my associate degree in business management. I was (and still am) the only quality manager Keystone has ever had.
Tell us about something you’re working on for Keystone right now:
I’m working on our annual ISO recertification.
What’s your favorite part of the job at Keystone?
I really enjoy interacting with everyone. I’m involved with teaching, training, and mentoring.
What’s something non-work related that we should know about you?
I like to explore our national park, travel, and spend time with family and friends.
